The Hips Workshop is part of a three-part workshop series taught by Jessica Seid through the lens of yoga and functional movement.
About the Hips Workshop
This workshop works to address commonly heard issues like, “My hips are so tight” or “I really am not mobile through my hips.” But paired with concepts like mobility and flexibility makes you wonder: what IS hip mobility versus flexibility? What can we do to ensure fluid movement through one of the most active regions in our body, while addressing feelings of stiffness and tightness?
This workshop includes
Vinyasa Practice
General hip anatomy
Exploration of Hip mobility + Hip flexibility
Asana (Posture) breakdowns
Q+A/discussion

About Jessica Seid
Jessica is an E-RYT 500 (via Yoga Alliance) teacher implementing functional movement into her classes with nearly a decade of teaching experience in San Francisco and Berlin. Her teaching is informed by her own experiences with previous spinal osteoarthritis, injury, and limited mobility, while aiming to incorporate principles of alignment, balance in load and sensation, sustainability, accessibility, exploration, and self-inquiry. She continues to study with her teacher, Jason Crandell, and has also been trained by the creator of restorative yoga, Judith Hanson Lasater, DPT. Her vinyasa classes integrate progressive movement with plenty of choices to do what’s best for your own body. Restorative classes by her (affectionately called “supervised napping”) focuses on breath and nervous system regulation towards a relaxed state.
